So much to blog about but so little time. I promise there will be more to come. Last night Jon Brooklyn and I sat down and watched this:
Brooklyn said that she watched a video about him at school where a man wouldn't let him play baseball on a certain field. Brooklyn watched the above video twice with us as we explained what it all meant. Although I know she does not understand all of it I saw her trying to comprehend what it was like for people when they were mistreated for no reason at all. Her sweet heart felt sympathy for these people and she was amazed at the # of people who were there to listen to him that day. I love that my husband takes the initiative to sit down with my kids and explain what courage is. To show examples of people in history such as MLK, Ghandi, and most important Christ. I am so happy that he is there father. So happy Martin Luther King day.
I really promise I have more pictures and stories to come. It was just such a rare moment where Brooklyn was actually thoughtful and not looking for the next party that I thought I should document.
