We are starting to become quite the regulars these days with FHE. The best thing about tonights FHE is that after an evening of all the kids telling me they didn't like my dinner, that they were not going to eat it or give me any kisses, etc. I was frustrated and tired and almost gave up on it entirely. I quickly changed my mind. I am so glad I did. Now we have tried to do FHE with the kiddos in the past and have hated it! They would scream and cry. They wouldn't listen to a thing you say. I would get upset and send them all to bed because I was frustrated. But lately I am loving it. It does not last long about 15 min. But it is wonderful. Tonight Tanner gave the lesson and taught us all how to pray! We sang songs while Brooklyn played the piano. We played a game of heads up 7 up and ended the night with a trip to Bashas for some ice cream! Instead of sending the kids to bed frustrated and feeling guilty the rest of the evening I was able to see them laugh and smile. My heart was touched and warmed as we sat together as a family. My testimony is growing stronger each week as we sit as a family and talk about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! I hope these memories stick with each of the kids as they grow. I hope that as we continue to do family home evening that my kiddos will learn and know how grateful I am and how much I love my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ.
